Statistics: Russia’s inflation at zero in January 14–Monday

MOSCOW, Jan 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation stayed at zero from January 14 through Monday and reached 0.4% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

Prices for chicken eggs decreased by 1.6%, for millet by 0.9%, for sugar by 0.6%, for margarine by 0.2%, and for sausages and rice by 0.1%. At the same time, prices for sour cream and vodka grew by 0.3% and for pasteurized milk and cheeses by 0.2%.

Fruit and vegetable prices grew 0.7% on average. Tomato prices increased 1.5%, and apple prices by 0.8%.

Gasoline prices remained unchanged, diesel fuel ones rose 0.1%.
